SD UNITED travelled to Sacramento this past weekend to take on the SACRAMENTO PRIDE and the CALIFORNIA STORM.

UNITED returned to San Diego with two strong victories (5-0),(5-0) heading into a showdown with first place LA RAMPAGE this Sunday in Granda Hills.

In the SAC PRIDE match, forward Maddie Tantillo exploded for a hat-trick with three amazing goals, striking three shots out of the air into the back of the net-Sophia Perez continued her strong play in goal with her fifth shut out of the season (6 games played).

In the CALIFORNIA STORM MATCH... Lindsay Browne emerged as the offense threat with a hat trick of her own with some top level finishes. Sophia Perez made
two epic saves to keep her shut out streak alive. The first of which came with a point blank shot in the box from the Storm, deflecting it wide to force a corner kick. The next was an intense one-v-one battle against Olympic Gold Medalist Brandi Chastain. With UNITED leading 3-0 the STORM did not let down as former Brazilian National Team star Sissi and Chastain lead several runs that the UNITED defense worked hard to match, led by Vanessa Valentine, Katie Miyake and Jenae Gibbons in the back and Rebekah Patrick, Karly Larson, Jayme Cargnoni and Leigh Ann
Robinson in the mid field.

UNITED's team effort included assists from Jayme Cargnoni, Debs Brereton and Leigh Ann Robinson. Additional goals by Leigh Ann Robinson and Holly
Grogan.
