About SD United

The greatest city in the world welcomes the SD United women’s premier soccer franchise into the West Division of the WPSL. SD UNITED exists as a separate entity from the San Diego United Youth program and is governed by US SOCCER. The WPSL franchise trains and competes on independent fields that are not associated with YOUTH allocations. SD UNITED’s association and support of the San Diego United Youth program models the successful European franchises which inspire and promote the game at the highest level.


About the Women’s Premier Soccer League

The WPSL is a 38-team national women's soccer league with five conferences and is the highest level of women's soccer currently in the United States while also holding the distinction of being one of the top leagues in the world. The mission is to provide the highest level of women's soccer while simultaneously providing affordable, quality family entertainment and positive role models for our youth.


About WPSL Mission Statement

The Women's Premier Soccer League is an independent national league whose main focus is on the development of highly competitive amateur women's soccer teams. The WPSL was formed in 1998. It is sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) as an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the ruling body of soccer in the United States and FIFA the world's ruling body for soccer. The WPSL works hard to provide an opportunity for the elite women soccer players to play at the highest level, recognizing that they can succeed with the positive support of the league.
